This handcrafted gin finds its origin at the Entre-Deux-Monts wine estate. The contour lines of the 'Rodeberg' and 'Zwarteberg', indicate the sloping flanks from where a cautious selection of several indigenous botanicals have been done. Those botanicals from around the vineyards and the addition of a wine distillate, aged for 6 years in oak barrels, made it possible to produce this unique gin from a unique terroir.
Vineyard botanicals: purple cornflower, chamomile, yarrow, bloody dock, poppies, juniper
The Rouge Noir Gin is crafted and distilled for Entre-Deux-Monts by Filliers Distillery. The bottle is sealed with a premium glass Vinolock stopper, which ensures that the flavors and aromas are optimally preserved. The bottle's capacity is 70cl.
Nose: An intriguingly fresh and slightly floral bouquet in the nose with a fine vinosity derived from the wine distillate.
Mouth: a gourmet attack with the pure taste of juniper and light hints of the vineyard botanicals, followed by a pleasant aftertaste that lingers.
The wine distillate that was assembled with the gin is an eau de vie that matured for six years in French oak barrels.
To be served as a culinary Gin & Tonic, as a base for refined (classic) cocktails or to be enjoyed neat after a meal.
