Wiscoutre Rosé

Méthode Traditionnelle, Brut Rosé

Wiscoutre Rosé is made of Chardonnay, Auxerrois and Acolon. It contains 12,5% alcohol.

‘Wiscoutre’ refers to the old Frankish name for the village of Westouter, where the wine is produced. The original, fresh and aromatic sparkling wine is perfect as an aperitif.

Tasting Notes

Beautiful explosion in the glass while serving with never-ending fine bubbles leading to a lasting crown.

  • Colour: attractive rosé with a purple hue
  • On the nose: open and pure with an explosion of red fruit
  • On the palate: fresh on the attack with much juicy fruit and a spicy touch

Vinification

Méthode Traditionnelle and 20 months ‘sur lattes’. Rosé d’assemblage. Dosage 6-8 g.

Vinificatie

Viticulture and terroir

Soil: sand-loam mixed with Diestian sand, ironstone, flint stones and gravel. Underneath this, well-drained layers of Ledian and Paniselian sand.

Climate: cool temperate climate influenced by the North Sea

Sustainable viticulture: defoliation, green harvest, 10 km of indigenous hedges and sowing flower seeds to attract natural predators, sowing grass to prevent erosion, using compost
